Job Purpose & Scope

The job holder will be primarily responsible for creating and enhancing strategic partnerships and ensure the delivery of the bancassurance plan.

As the ideal resource for this role, the successful candidate will be an ardent team player, with excellent people skills. In addition, she/he should possess good relationship building, networking and leadership skills, the go to person with an analytical mind-set, proactive and self-driven, with ability to meet sales targets.

Principal Accountabilities:
  • In partnership with bank partners, achieve sales plan for new business.
  • Maintain good working relationships with bank partner counter parties.
  • Achieve bank branch activation target and FSC activation targets.
  • Ensure training of Bank/ADC staff is conducted in collaboration with partners.
  • Identify and activate new Bank and/or alternative sales channels having potential of being productive Bancassurance partners.
  • Identify new segments in existing partnerships with potential to accelerate growth.
  • Ensure all partnerships are operating line with local regulation

Experience, Knowledge & Skills
  • A university degree/ Diploma in Banking or Insurance.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn insurance products.
  • Technical knowledge in Life Insurance or work experience in Life Insurance Sales will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Interpersonal and coaching skills and the ability to develop relationships, partnerships, and work collaboratively.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage own performance effectively, planning and organizing own time and priorities to achieve business results without substantial supervision.
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations and policies and ability to apply procedures.
  • Produces results; directs action toward achieving key business goals that are critical to company’s success.
  • Strong reporting skills.
  • Ability to understand broad business issues.
