The job involves managing Reinsurance for all business lines of Prudential Life Zambia Ltd. It involves working closely with the departments from underwriting stage to claim payment. Ensuring all business is captured and reinsured according to the PLAZ signed treaties and in accordance with its risk appetite. Providing support to Reinsurers, PLAZ departments and other relationship management

Reinsurance

• Reviewing business written and identifying the business which needs to be reinsured.
• Reconciling monthly gross premiums and claims for all business units and computing reinsurance claim and premium.
• Posting in pastel the reinsurance computed monthly.
• Providing data for corporate business reserves and department confirmations of premium
• Submitting to reinsurers the reinsurance bordereaux for premium and claim and ensuring payment.
• Preparing monthly reinsurance reports for all business lines as per reinsurance arrangement and reinsurers accounts reconciliation
• Relationship management and liaison with reinsurers regarding reinsurance payables and recoverable
• Overseeing and training the assistant to get conversant with reinsurance treaties, computations, payment, and recovery processes

Other Duties

• Statutory and business reports and analysis
• Client relationship management with Reinsurers and internal clients and providing support as well Liaise with reinsurers and department heads.

• Degree in any Business-related field, CII/ACCA/CIMA/ZICA
• Accounting and or Insurance
• Experience in Finance and Reporting role
• Minimum of 4 years’ relevant work experience
